$300 to $400 dollars for the basic 1100 in 12 ga with any choke except a variable. A variable scope will kick it up about $75. If ribbed skeet barell, add another $150.
The 1100 had a barrel recall around 1975. Shotguns made before that time usually have a different barrel. The recall really was unnecessary as the failure was very uncommon and only if shells were substantially over loaded. If the barrel is not the original you can subtract $75.
Now for the bad news. The prices quoted are what should be expected selling to an individual. But if you sell to pawn shop or gun shop you should expect only one third of that amount.
The Remington 1100 was one of the most reliable semi autos ever made. In the 1970;s a record was set where there was not a single failure with more than 4000 rounds fired. Also, as 12 ga shotguns go the recoil is very tame due to the employees gas operation.
I was inquiring about selling a few of my guns. I had 4 lame gun dealers tryig to tell me the value of my firearms had dropped by over 50% since buying them over 40 yeats ago. No way is that even possible. With increased firearms restrictions values have only risen. Plus the firearms I was interested in selling are not Federally or State Registered because they were purchased prior to the current FTA Laws. That again makes them worth a premium. Also one 22 rifle I was interested i selling was a JC Higgens semi auto which held 19 rounds of Long Rifle. It had no serial number on it, manufactured that way at the time because again Federal Firearms Laws did not require a serial number.
Watch your step whenever you go to sell a firearm, coins, car, home or anything else. There are plenty of scammers out there just as the first person responding to your question saying you should have taken the $125 for it. I hope he ends up getting a taste of his own medicine for giving such bad advice. Of course he could also be an uneducated moron.
150 mint condition
From your description. The shotgun would be worth between 375-475 dollars,on today,s market.
$1,000
$350
50-500 USD depending on specifics
Id say a good $200-$300
175.00
It all depends on the condition. These are pretty old (not the best design) Thus the Remington 1100 came along. If it's a 3" chamber and in decent condition, I would pay $200.00 . The 1100 is much more sought after. Terry
