A subscriber is someone who has subscribed to your channel. The number of subscribers on your channel is visible in the “Statistics” section of the channel. You can give out your channel link to friends, family and even strangers and ask them to subscribe to your channel. If one has more subscribers, the channel will be considered more popular and it will be easier to get suggestions and programming from YouTube. Infact, a large number of the wealthiest people in this country are entrepreneurs. The internet has made starting a business simpler than ever before, so it's worth a shot no matter what your age is!

You don't get any money for getting a new subscriber on YouTube. YouTube pays video makers money when somebody views a video that they have uploaded that has monetization enabled on it. Although, the more subscribers you have, generally the more views you will get on your videos because subscribers are notified when you upload a new video onto YouTube.
