A carbine with the 20in barrel was priced at 17.50, a round barreled 26in rifle was 18.00 dollars, and the take down model was priced at 25.00 dollars. Your winchester model 1894 rifle which was made in 1898 has to many variables that can add to the value of your rifle to state a accurate value.I would have such a fine firearm appraised by a member of the winchester collectors assoc.or a member of the many fine auction houses for firearms. You could have a winchester that could be valued at between 1,500-2,000 dollars,or as little as 400-700 dollars.
Your Winchester model 1894 rifle was made in the year 1898 with the serial number that you have supplied. The value can not be determined without a much more detailed description of your rifles overall condition,to include the amount of original finish remaining on the wood and metal. The caliber, and any special order features such as a special wood, checkered wood, shotgun style butt stock, half magazine, special barrel length, etc.will all have a bearing on the value of your rifle. Is it a takedown model? This will also effect the value.I always advise owners of these early Winchester model 1894 rifles to have them evaluated by a member of the Winchester collectors assoc,to get a accurate value for their rifle.
