In the UK the 1010 Marksman is known as the SMK G10 or G2000 Repeater. It is an inexpensive spring pistol, but is exactly the same as the Marksman 1010 sold here in the States. It has a rated speed of 250 FPS. It shoots BB's, darts and single shot pellets. It is not a powerful or accurate air gun, but fun to shoot. See the link below for a shop in the UK.

Air guns and rifles are rated by their FPS (FEET PER SECOND) they shoot at different speeds depending on the model. An example is a Daisy Red Ryder that shoots at 350 FPS but a Benjamin Marauder fires a .177 pellet at 1100 FPS. The slowest pellet gun I know of is the Marksman model 1010 that fires at 250 FPS.

They fire a BB at a rated speed of 200 FPS. In comparison with a Daisy Red Ryder that fires a BB at 350 FPS.
Yes it will sting or possibly injure the animal. Even though it's a relatively slow firing pistol. 200 FPS. The pellet will sting if fired a a close range. If you hit a rodent or very small animal it will penetrate the body.
