* Mine was only sore for about two days if that. It wasn't really red at all but I've heard it can be a few days. Be sure to clean it properly and it don't touch it. That should eliminate problems. * I also experienced soreness for about a day. Out of all my piercings, it was the quickest to heal (but it did hurt to get it done for some reason).
It can stay swollen for up to a week, depending on how it is being taken care of, and how your body reacts to it.
It varies person to person. On average, it takes 3-6months for the piercings to heal completely. Everyone is different.
A nose piercing, should you no longer want to have it, will usually heal itself and present a scar afterwards.
tree seconds.
Well you just have to stay on top of cleaning the piercing even with a cold. Taking the jewellery out will do nothing but loose the piercing for you. Put the jewellery back in clean the piercing and leave it alone. The cold will go away and the piercing will heal.
i have had mine for a couple months and i can keep mine out for 42 minutes for gym class and it begins to hurt before i put it back in.
Once any piercing is *seasoned (*over a year old ), so long as the jewellery is appropriate for the piercing in gauge and length or diameter the piercing will not stretch unless you change it to a larger gauge. So will you have this big gaping hole in your lip? Well no, if you stay with the jewellery you are sized to it should stay the same size during the *life of the piercing (* this is for however long you choose to keep the piercing ).
wear a bandaid on it and stay you cut it or have a zit or something, but this trick won't last forevr
They don't swell. see a doctor if they are.
Usually, yes. They just get bumped more and stay cranky longer.
Your shouldn't because it might kill the good bacteria that is there to help your nose heal. :)
No they generally don't stay in the piercing, that's another poor idea that was stupid from the start. Nose bones cause the piercing to stretch in order to put them in and take them out of the piercing, this stretching on a new piercing causes the piercing to tear and generally damages the new tissue that is trying to form inside the piercing. If your nostril piercing was done with this type of jewellery go back and have a proper nostril screw put in so the tissue can heal without the jewellery causing undue stress on the tissue. The piercer that uses this type of jewellery is a novice (under 3 years) and clearly doesn't understand what he/she is doing nor do they appear to care. It's all about the money. Pity
