After having a baby, you don't have a period, you have what is called lochia. Lochia is when the built-up womb lining breaks down after the baby is born because it is no longer needed. Because there is such a huge amount of womb-lining to break down, there is quite a lot of blood and it can last a while. Generally, there is less bleeding if you have a vaginal birth because a lot of the blood gets squeezed out with the baby, but in a caesarean it doesn't. Lochia can last around a month, although for some people it only lasts about 2 weeks
Unless you are nursing your period will return in six weeks.
Your period should last about 2 weeks the most..
The gestation period is usually 22 days, but can last as long as 25.

no!
I have had three children and the period after birth lasted around 3 weeks. If you breast feed your baby you will probably not have another period after this one until you stop breast feeding.
Yes! as long as it is in that period of a woman's fertility cycle where she is ovulating and she doesn't have to have had her first period yet either. Same after having a baby - she can get pregnant right away, again without having a period. The fertility cycle comes before the period.

It can take anywhere from three to sixteen weeks before you start having a period, and could take up to two years before it normalizes again.
