you can never really take it out for more than a couple hours, as it always closes in. Ive had mine for 5 yrs and sometimes i leave it out for too long and its hard to get it back in.
if your talking about the first time you take it out, it can be the next day, as long as you put it back in, in the next 10 minutes.
