Cartilage piercings can remain sore and tender for up to 2 weeks. They take longer to heal than other piercings; the healing time for cartilage piercings is slow. For any swelling and/or discomfort, you can take some ibuprofen; make sure you follow the directions on the bottle.
I got mine done about 3 months ago and it still hurts pretty bad. i can sleep on it but when i wake up in the morning my ear aches!!
There actually done seperatly and it takes like a minute, but very painful! 2nd answer- It depends on the piercer ( the better the piercer the shorter the time it takes to be done) and on how still you keep. Mine took about 3minutes and i didnt find it all that painful! It was bareable and nowhere near what i expected it to be from reading all of the hype. If you want it, id say go for it! it looks amazing :)
First off lets see if we are talking about the same piercing....An industrail, and this miss spelling is on purpose, is thru the front cartilag near the top of the ear, and thru the back cartilage with a long barbell....If done right the rest of the inside of the ear will not be pressing against the barbell. What does it represent??? Nada, that I know of......Dont read too much into all the symbolism hype. Anybody might wear such a piercing and for every one who does, they probably have a different story or reason behind it.......TatuBaron
It can have a lot of long hours and dangerous work environment. It can also take a lot of schooling to get a position.
The term βIndustrial Engineeringβ can be traced to James Gunn, in The Engineering Magazine in 1901 when he suggested that a profession and curriculum of IE be established and organized similarly to that of electrical and mechanical engineering. visit page: denochearing. com/about
Turnaround time means the ships have to wait for long before they get space to stop.
A few global problems affecting factory workers are long hours, physical stress and danger of injury, and workplace safety in general. In 3rd world and developing nations, problems like low wages and poor working conditions can further complicate the life of an industrial worker.
1 year after having it done, you can take the jewellery out for an 8 hour period without fear of the piercing closing up.
I would wait at least 2 weeks just to be sure your body is healing the piercing OK before you start subjecting the piercings to chemicals.
You can be any age as long as you have your parent's permission and they are present at the time that you are getting the piercing.
No, tongue rings are specifically designed for tongue piercings and are not suitable for an industrial piercing. An industrial piercing typically requires a long straight barbell that goes through two separate ear piercings. It is best to use jewelry that is specifically designed for an industrial piercing to ensure proper healing and comfort.
Well it should be healded in about 2 months:)
A Tragus piercing, being a deep cartilage piercing should be left in for a period of 3~9 months to allow the piercing to properly season and toughen. As with any piercing they are never considered fully healed until they are a full year old. So the longer you can leave it alone without changing the jewellery the better it is for the piercing.
Until it stops hurting.
it completely depends on your body. mine seriously closed in a few hours and I had it done two years before.
2-3 months before the piercing can be submerged. You can go swimming now as long as the piercing doesnt get wet.
You wouldn't have been told to wait that long unless you needed to be told to wait that long. You need to let the piercing heal before you go changing the jewellery, if you change it too soon you can damage the fine tissue your body is trying to form to make the piercing. So wait till it's ready.
After 6weeks you can take it out.
You could get two individual clear plugs/bars. It'll be tough to find a clear bar long enough for an industrial.
