There is a loading port on top of the barrel right where the forearm comes to an end. Put the BB's in there. Then ( with your finger OFF the trigger) pull the barrel back as far is it will go with the barrel slightly elevated. Slide the barrel forward (Do not yank it forward) the rifle is now ready to shoot.
