If a 22LR is fired at about a 45 degree angle from a rifle, it will travel about 7700 ft. However, ACCURATE fire is less- about 150 yards- beyond that, the bullet is losing speed quite rapidly, and bullet drop becomes significant.
My favorite .22 Rifle in my cabinet is a Marlin Model 981t.I have a 3-12x40 Tasco Pronghorn mounted to a Weaver Base, and no modifications to the actual rifle at all. With American Eagle 40gr solids,I plink .22 shells at a hundred yards(300 feet measured)with ease adding about 2" of elevation and accounting for crosswinds. The .22 is capable of much more than that, but I only have a 12x zoom scope. My best group with that rifle at a hundred was one slightly ragged 5 shot hole with the AE 40grainers.Not bad for a stock rifle.I plink cans at a hundred accurately with my 69 Ruger Mark 1 Bully,stock...Dont knock the .22...
From a rifle, about 1.5 miles- but they can shoot ACCURATELY about 100-150 yards.
@ 1.5 miles

NO NO NO! Only shoot what the rifle is chambered for and so marked.
No. .22 Magnum and .22 Long Rifle are not interchangeable.
it means you can use 22 short rounds 22 long rounds and the modern 22 long rifle rounds and it will shoot them all
Depends on the rifle. Accurately? About 50 yards max.
The projectile can travel up to 1.5 miles
