I had a scan at 8 weeks and was told I was having twins and saw there were two foetuses (prior to this I had dreamt it was twins).
Also when I took the pregnancy test, just as my period was due, the line on the test was really really dark. Once I discovered I was having twins I realised the line had been really dark because of my elevated levels of HGC. A faint line would have been expected so early in the pregnancy, when HGC is rising, but HGC rises faster in twin pregnancies than singleton ones, so the early indication of a high level of HGC was an early sign it was twins.
One can tell how far along they are in pregnancy by having an ultrasound. An ultrasound measures the fetus and then compare that measurement to what an average fetus is. If it matches to a 3 week fetus it means that one is 3 weeks into pregnancy.
It is much harder for you to be able to calculate your due date when you have continued to have periods during pregnancy. However, a doctor or doula or midwife can tell very accurately how far along you are.
i have been having periods every other month so i cant tell when i had my last or what month so i dont know how far along i am its really hard to tell
Your Dr will be able to tell you this if you are unsure, but it goes by the first day of your last period.
i dont think so there is some that can tell you your ovulation dates but that is it you might have to consult a doctor for that
if you are far along in your pregnancy mucus is normal.. nasty but normal if your not to far along contact your doctor
they count the two weeks before you concieved when calculating how far along you are, so really it should be from the first day of your last period to now, that will tell you how far along you are! :)
It tells you how far along you are.
how far along is a pregnancy when your hcg count is 2097
Blood work cannot tell you how far along you are as the levels vary so much from pregnancy to pregnancy, go with the ultrasound.
It sounds like your less than 1 month into your pregnancy. HCG levels vary throughout the pregnancy so I wouldn't rely on a blood test to determine how far along you are. A ultrasound would be the ideal option.
Ask her when her last period was. You carry a baby for 38-40 weeks from the first day of your last period. Do the math and you will see how far along she is. Also have her go to a doctor immediately if she has not already!!!!
