To be honest, personally when I am around or near a girl that I like I tend to stare a lot and then look away quickly if her or her friends notice. However, I AM a shy, 16-year-old boy so it might be different for an outgoing boy. I also try to impress her in class or say stupid jokes to get her attention. In my case, I'm so shy that I won't even talk to her unless she talks first.
Good luck and I hope this helps!
P.S. if she is talking but is really close and we are in a group I try not to look at her.
