You can use a sim card reader to transfer from sim to sim, this is the easiest method, but rarely do people actually have such a device.
The sim card can only transfer phone numbers, and in some cases, limited SMS history. This excludes email addresses, pictures, ringtones, and games.
Transferring to or from a phone is a different menu path for nearly every model out there...
Nokia - go under names or contacts, scroll down until you see "copy", select copy, it will ask if you want it from the "phone to the sim", yes choose this option, it will ask if you want to "keep original" and that is it , it will copy the numbers onto the sim.
For other model phones, ask a teenager to show you. Most of them are technologically fluent.
You can't do it on a new iPhone. You have to put them on your iTunes. But if your iPhone allows installing third party software (when you have done a so called 'Jailbreak'), you may download a piece of software called iSIM. This will allow you to batch copy all your phone numbers to the iPhone without the need for a PC or Mac. Actually you can import contacts from a SIM Card. I just did so with my iPhone 3GS. Here is the excerpt from the iPhone users guide: "Import contacts from another phone's SIM: In Settings, tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars," then tap Import SIM Contacts." You must scroll down to find the Import SIM Contacts command. Just pop out the current SIM card and put in another SIM card (use a paper clip to open the holder) and follow the steps. Takes about 30 seconds. Good Luck.
No sim cards are only for numbers
The iphone 4 comes with a micro sim. Your normal sim will not work with it. My AT&T dealer says he can transfer data directly from your sim/old phone to your new iphone 4.
Yes, but first you must unlock and jailbreak your iphone.
Yes, you can transfer data from a Nokia c2 to a sim card by simply inserting the sim card into the phone, and following the on-screen instructions until the sync is complete.
When you switch from iPhone 4S to Samsung Galaxy S5, would you transfer all data from your old iphone to Samsung? It's surely you need to do that. See related link for a video for that, it's easy to use.
no it can notwell... TECHNICALLY it can. but only to 3G at&t cell phones. the sim has a unique shape. and one of the MAIn reasons that the iPhone sim card cant be transferred to a non iPhone in some cases... is because the sim card compartment requires a tool to unlock it and take out the sim card. :O it comes with the phone though. but i think you can only transfer the sim from the iPHone 3gSSSSSS cuz it has the actual card in it. the others dont... idk why. :P
the iphone has a sim card which slots in the top of the iphone. to get the sim card tray out you have to use a pin or the special tool it came with to open it.
no that would not work at all unless you are calling the police. the sim card contains memory that the company puts on it like what type of data you have. when you insert a sim card the phone checks to see its data. if you insert it nothing will happen exept it will say no sim card emergency calls only
Of course, the iPhone 3G and/or the original iPhone will take any normal sim card; the 3G iPhone will take the 3G sim as well.
Put sim card into nokia, go into Contact list -OPTIONS > MARK ALLOPTIONS > MOVE SELECTED (Choose sim card)Put sim card into iphone...SETTINGS > MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDERScroll down a bit > IMPORT SIM CONTACTS ;)frisky

You can fit a SIM card from your HTC Wildfire to an iPhone 4 by using the SIM port included in the iPhone.
