You can user free cloud service named PhoneCopy. For most mobile phones from Nokia, Motorola, SonyEricsson, Samsung and others it works native and for iPhone you can download free app PhoneCopy for iPhone. If you want to synchronize android you need PhoneCopy for Android and also if you want to keep local copy of contacts on you computer you can use PhoneCopy for Windows or PhoneCopy for Mac.

Just plug in your Iphone and under the sync tab select contacts. At the bottom click apply. It will ask if you want to delete your iphones contacts select no. Then it will ask if you want to merge contacts. Select that one and you are good to go.
unfortunately you cant. you can get iphone apps that enable you to bluetooth your contacts to another iphone but not to a device that isnt produced by apple. this sort of exclusivity really sucks but as yet i havent found a way around it.

As of now, Apple has not announced another Iphone after the current one (Iphone 5) that was just released.
If you go to AT+T, they will be able to transfer them for you. They did it for me absolutely free.
The iPhone will not transfer photos to your computer if the device is locked and you are using a passcode. If you want to transfer photos, simply unlock (Slide to unlock and enter passcode) your device to transfer photos.Note: Plug the iphone to your computer in unlocked mode.
Please take both 'phones to the Genious Bar of your nearest Apple Store and they will be able to help you.
The phone must be apple(e.g. iPhone) and iTunes on your iPhone will be updated every time you plug it into your computer that you use for iTunes.
