That depends upon why it was 'deactiviated.' Was it because the system is an old analog system? In that case, you cannot reactivate it, but you could replace it with a new digital system.
No, OnStar is a GM only product. OnStar is a factory-installed option and cannot be installed by a dealer or retailer, so you must do one of the following: 1) Purchase a GM vehicle with OnStar 2) Own a GM vehicle with OnStar
1. call Onstar center at 1888-4-onstar or press the Blue button inside the car. 2. prepare the VIN if using landline. 3. if call is connected using the blue button, ask the advisor that you want to activate or reactivate the onstar system in your car. if the car cannot connect, call the toll free # and give the VIN to the Advisor to check if the car has analog hardware or digital. 4. if analog, proceed to dealership and have it upgraded to digital. 5. if digital, try pushing the red button and if connected to an advisor, say it's not an emergency and that you just want to activate the onstar system. 6. if still not working, proceed to the dealership and have it checked. 7. after the upgrade, push the blue button and tell the advisor that you want the onstar be activated or reactivated.
Lojack and onstar

That's not going to happen. Unless the dealership is doing the financing in-house, they're already paid for the vehicle, via the loan you took out from the finance company to get the vehicle. It's the finance company you'd answer to re: the payment, not the dealership. Thus far, I've never heard of any such thing happening - miss a certain number of payments, and the finance company sends repossession agents to collect the vehicle. However, it's not beyond the realm of possibility - vehicles with systems such as OnStar can be shut off remotely, and, although I have yet to hear of it happening, it is possible that a finance company could request OnStar disable the vehicle.
As long as you have onstar system in your GM vehicle, thay can give you 6 months Trial of their subscription, no obligation.
Yes in an emergency
I don't have an OnStar system, but I believe it should. Most GPS devices leave what's callled breadcrumbs (trails of where the vehicle has been). Now it all depends on how large of a record the OnStar system retains.
You call a locksmith who can make a key or acquire the right one with the serial #s from the dealership
Only if you have onstar. Some 2006 TB's have onstar, but most don't. It came standard in all GM vehicles as of 07. You probably have analog onstar which does not work anymore (not sure when that happened) but only the digital onstar works. If you have the analog and your in an accident onstar will try to connect but it wont work and possibly drain your battery. If you find out this is the case you may be able to upgrade to digital for a lot $$ or you can get it disabled at a Chevy dealership for free
No, there's no such switch. If the vehicle has Onstar with an active Onstar account, I believe the 08 model was so equipped to where Onstar can unlock it remotely. Otherwise, call a professional lockout service.
