Music can be placed on any area of the SD card, best practice is to put it in its own folder, usually labeled 'Music' The DSi can read up to 8 folders deep for music, and can display up to 1000 Music files at a time. The DSi plays music files of the AAC format. These music files usually have the .mp4 .m4a or .3gp extensions. In most cases you will need to convert a music file for use. I suggest using the convert/save feature of the free open source software VLC player (Video Lan Player).

It doesn't need a SD card, but you can put in a SD card if you want to store more pictures and music. If the SD card doesn't hold music, but camera, the SD card will not work on the music.
click and drag music from itunes or something and open your sd card file and put it there
Sandisk creates 2 GB SD cards for consumers who may only have a desire to take photos as a 2GB SD card is sufficient for that task. The Sandisk 2GB SD card is their smallest card as they can go up to a capacity of 128GB which is aimed for consumers who wish to take HD videos.
Download iTunes on a computer that has an SD card slot. Put music onto iTunes. plug the sd card in and drag the music onto it
Your 3DS should have came with a 2 GB SD card. If you have an SD card reader on your computer, plug in your card to your computer, then put whatever music you want on the sd card. Plug the sd card back into your 3DS, and turn on the music channel.
I'm sorry but yes you have to have a SD card. :(
A SD or SDHC card is a card that collects an stores data. It is developed by a company named SanDisk hence the SD and some can store more han others and the ones that can store a whole lot are callled SDHC cards. The HC stands for High Capacity. You have to put ur music on a Micro SD card. The X-tc phone has a MIcro SD card slot. First you have to get the Micro SD card then get a Micro SD card adapter then put it in to ur computer and go to My Computer and select the SD card. If you have iTunes u just drag the song from iTunes to the Micro SD card folder and then load it to the SD card. Then put the Micro SD card into the Micro SD card slot. Your music should then be on your phone
