You take off both grips. The C02 nozzle faces up into the gun. Tighten it as tight as you can and make sure you tighten it as tight as you can. I also recommend you use pellgunoil it increases the maximum FPS and keep the seal nice and tight. If you use the pellgunoil it will keep your airgun working like new for as long as you can keep it.
If you would like to download the "Owners Manual" for the Crosman 357 click on the link Below. Crosman has it on there web page.

If you are asking about the Crosman C02 pellet pistol then Yes that is what it is designed to power the pistol.
This is an interesting question, because I've rebuilt several Crosman 357 and a few 38's. The 38 came out long before the Crosman 357's. When Crosman developed the 357 for sale they stopped production on the 38's and dropped all the parts for it, EXCEPT the C02 parts. Three of the C02 parts are common between the two pistols. All 357 parts began with the number #357 and all 38 parts began with the number #38. If you look at the parts diagram for the 357 you will see three parts starting with #38. These three parts are interchangeable and can still be ordered from Crosman. (see the links below) Crosman supplies parts for all their current airguns. Now if you don't want to go that route then Crosman offers a free service to locate shops that repair older Crosman air guns. See the links below.
CO2 powered weapons are usually fitted with a removable cartridge - which is stored in the handle of the gun.
Crosman still has parts for the pistol. You can order directly from them. Crosman has all their Owners manual and Parts manuals online. See the link below. When it opens scroll down and click on "download Manual/Parts diagram". Then select "Crosman Pistols". From there you should be able to locate you pistol's diagram. After you figure out what you want go back and call Crosman Customer service and order the parts. I've rebuilt 4 of the 357's this way.
It all depends on the model you are asking about. I suggest that you go to the link I have below and locate the owners manual for your air rifle.
You can recycle it.
You don't take the seal off the 12 gram CO2 cartridge. You put it in the gun and screw the pressure plate under the cartridge all the way up until you hear it puncture the end of the cartridge. Do not over tighten it with a wrench, just make it thumb tight. See your owners manual on how to install the CO2 cylinderYou don't take the seal off the 12 gram CO2 cartridge.
