You could just use a ruler with mm markings and measure it. You can use Google to find conversion charts from mm-gauge.
14
Well actually a lot of difference 18g is the smallest gauge, then 16g is the next biggest gauge followed by 14g being the largest gauge normally used for oral piercings on a male. Female lip piercings are normally 18g or 16g, 14g is too large and looks silly in a female lip.
Depends on the size of the ring. I had a 14 gauge in my lip and you can not see a scar. on the inside of the lip i can feel where it used to be but small. outside is not seen since i have a goatee but if it does yu can barely see it.
Lip rings range in size from 20 gauge (the smallest) to 14 gauge (the largest). Sixteen-gauge is considered a "normal" size lip ring. The piercer will usually start with a lip ring that is slightly larger to accommodate the swelling that will naturally occur as a result of the piercing process. Once healing has occurred, the wearer can change the size of the lip ring to either a smaller or larger one.
no he does not as far as I know.
it will feel very uncomforable and possibly cut the inside of your lip
ask your piercer Almost all piercings are done initially with a 14G. piece of jewelry. Anything smaller than that is ill advisable due to it's thinness, and anything fatter would look foolish in a lip.
A 16 gauge or 14 gauge are the most common for lip piercings.
Lip ring is not a compound word.
Yes it's called a lip ring.
Just take the ball/bead out of it and put the ring on your lip. If the diameter of the ring is too long, it may not look realistic but just give it a shot. You can't do much else with it.
