For one, all these answers didn't really help much with the question. They all ended up being like help me! But anyways if he likes you'll know. I understand where your coming from. Us girls, we always get so worked up about this topic. So saying that, it really shouldn't be this difficult, being middle schoolers is probably the worst time for relationships. So my advice is to just talk to him, give him cute little waves in the hall, give eye contact, and smile. (Guys like girls that smile, it also really lights up your face.) If he likes you he'll find a way for you to find out.

ok i am a middle school girl and i think u should go for it. some guys are just way to shy to ask out a girl, but that dosnt mean they dont like you. but other times guys are just really rude or mean to you, that means they are flirting with you so you have a good chance of him likeing you. i am going to ask out some1 tomorrow morning and if he says no i am just going to keep my chin up! p.s some guys are so meant they just say no to be funny and 2 days later they come back and ask u out.

---- This is very sad, but from experience, you can never tell. Some guys make it so obvious that it's scary, and some are so quiet you can't tell if they even know who you are. If you want to know, become friends with them and it will be easier to tell. :)

---- If you are in a situation where you know a guy likes you, and you like him back but he is too shy to ask you out, then ask him out. I wish my girlfriend would have, and it would have been a lot easier (not everyone does the guy have to ask out the girl).

I have to agree with the above answer, no girl wants to ask out a guy - that's totally wrong; if a guy really want you to go out with them then he should be the one to ask you out. A girl should never have to ask and guys, a girl wants to know if you like her so just give her a clue too!

I dont agree with either of the two people above........i am a middle school BOY and i think that once in a while a girl should ask a boy out.......it takes some stress off of us.........plus then we know that they like us instead of wondering for weeks on end........i once had a girl ask me out and we dated for about 3 months care free

A girl asking out a guy isnt the end of the world... My friends do it all the time. The boys say yes. But it would be nice for the guys to ask out the girls. We just feel stupid when we ask. I mean wat if the guy just says no and ur in front of your friends that would be embarrassing You feel stupid and im going to agree with "Crazy" girls dong like being rejected.... I am a girl and in my opinion i like guys 2 ask me out. it makes girls feel better about them selves. but i see y guys want girls 2 ask them out 2 but its harder for girls 2 ask out a guy becuz when they get rejected it usally hurts more and makes them hate themselves.
