When an alter ego is someone, not yourself, who is the opposite to you, that is neither good nor bad. If that other self is embedded in you, then it still is not necessarily a bad thing as it may be a way of dealing with particular stresses or freedoms of a specific situation. But when it develops into a schizoid, or multiple personality, it is generally referred to as a 'disorder', and deemed to be,, as you put it, 'bad'.
To maintain a positive self-concept, focus on your strengths and accomplishments, practice self-compassion by being kind to yourself, surround yourself with supportive and positive people, challenge negative self-talk, and engage in activities that make you feel good about yourself. Remember that self-concept is malleable and can be improved with effort and practice.

I have a list of several ideas but some may be situation specific: 1: Make a reputation for yourself as someone who doesn't give in. 2: Always have your own transportation or the transportation with someone you trust. 3: Be clear, don't dodge or evade the questions or prompts. The more direct but not rude, the better. 4: Let it be known what you are and aren't interested in. 5: Remove yourself from groups of people that tend to practice heavy peer pressure. 6: Have a backup plan and/or person when going into new/risky situations 7: if stuck, fake the phonecall from a responsible figure. Good luck!

They manipulate situations to achieve their goals, putting Aladdin and others in danger. The misuse of magic and deceit are also negative themes present in the story.
