Unfortunately, once notification is deleted on Facebook, it is gone forever. The only exception to this is if the user has archived the information, rather than deleting it. In that case, it would still be accessible under the message tab.

Have you tried clicking on the notification? Usually once you have clicked on it and viewed what it is telling you about, it will fade out.
Currently you cannot receive text notifications from facebook, however you can receive email notification.
Go to your Facebook account. And Click Notification settings and Enable Option "Sends you a Message" Then save Changes Now you get the message notification via Email.
