Provided you have residential space available you can either wait until a bitizen requests to be taken to the residential floor (at which time they will live at Tiny Tower) or you can select the residential floor you wish to fill and pay one Bit Bux to rent space immediately. If you have filled your residential space, you'll have to build more by clicking the "add floor" billboard at the top of your building, then select the "residential" type (the first option, at the top) and begin building a new apartment.

Bitizens can't date in Tiny Tower.
A real estate on tiny tower would move a bitizens into any apartment you pick. If the apartment is full, then nothing happens.
Unfortunately, you cannot change a Bitizen's birthday in Tiny Tower. The birthday that a Bitizen has when they move into your tower is the birthday they will keep throughout their stay.
To do this would be cheating and could possibly glitch your game as it did to me. Before doing this go out of your wi-fi range so if your game messes up you can delete it and get it back. Go into a bitizens file and find their birthday. Then go into settings and change the date to that bitizens birthday. When you go back into tiny tower you will get a bux. Hope this helps

There are the commercial types: Service_shown in blue, Food_shown in green, Retail_ shown in purple, Recreation_shown in a yellowish white, and Creative_shown in orange. These floors will get you coins when you restock them. They can be upgraded to hold more stock at the price of 3 tower bucks with no level cap. The other type of floor is Residential: there are more residential floors than any other type of floor. They are used to move in bitizens who work in the commercial floors (the only way to make money off of commercial floors) bitizens can be moved in when they ask to go to a residential floor, or you can immediately move in bitizens at the price of one tower buck for one bitizen.

Tiny Tower is a game which can be played on iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. It can be downloaded for free in the Apple and Android app stores. The purpose of the game is to add floors and grow your tiny tower. The floors are either residential (apartments) or six types of businesses. "Bitizens," the people in your tower, live in the residential floors and you assign them a job in a commercial floor. Each bitizen prefers different types of work and has one business that is their dream job. The game has its own currencies -- "Tower Bucks" and coins. You earn bucks by operating the elevator, fulling stocking businesses, adding new floors, and placing bitizens in their dream jobs. You can use your bucks to buy faster elevators, to rush restocking and construction, to move bitizens into empty apartments, and to quickly sell or gift merchandise. Coins are earned by selling merchandise at your businesses. The coins are used to buy new floors and restock merchandise. You can buy bucks with real money to accelerate the gameplay and you can also convert bucks to coins. The game also has "missions" which require you to have a combination of two or more businesses in your tower. Completing missions earns you tower bucks.
Tiny Tower happened in 2011.
You build a residential floor, (by clicking Build a new floor, then residential at the top) once it loads you will have a residential floor. You just take the people to the floor (like always, when they ask) until it's filled and that's how they move in. Or, you can click on the floor, and move bitizens in immediately at the cost of I bitbuck. (the virtual currency on the app)
