To field strip a RG26 25, ensure the firearm is unloaded, then remove the magazine. Pull the slide back and lock it into place, then depress the button or lever to remove the slide from the frame. Finally, disassemble the recoil spring and barrel for thorough cleaning and maintenance.
Disassemble it (to operator level standards) for inspection, maintenance, etc. It's basically the minimum amount of disassembling necessary to perform these tasks, and what can be done without the use of special tools.
There is no "field stripping" per se. Open the action and clean with rod/brushes/patches.
