Login to your Facebook account. Click Profile button and then Photos tab. Click on a picture that you want to delete or click on a album that contains that photo and find it and click on the photo. When you see the magnified photo, scroll down and click on "Delete This Photo".
If you were the person who uploaded the photo, click on the photo you want to delete and scroll down to the option where you can tag the photo, make the photo your profile picture, etc. One of the options is to delete photo.

You can delete your profile photo by going to Photos > Albums > Profile photos album on your Profile and accessing each individual photo that may be in that album. You may be able to use Options > Delete photo to remove the profile photo(s).
You can't upload a photo, but if you connect Facebook to your Answers.com account, you'll have your Facebook profile picture on your profile.
YOU can delete your own profile, by selecting "Account Settings", "Delete Account" and confirming it.
you need to click on the picture you want deleted then it is usually on the bottom left of the picture there is the option "delete Photo" then you click it. this will not work if its not your picture.
When you click on that photo on FaceBook, it should give you the option to make it your profile photo.
The Facebook Messenger shows your friend's old profile photo because you have not refreshed it since the last photo.
