If you are deleting a picture on iPhone or iPod TOuch, go to the pic and hit the garbage can and then the red link that says delete photo.
If you are deleting on a camera, just go to the photo, click the garbage button on the camera's "keyboard" to the right of the screen, and then click ok or scroll down and click ok when it asks you if you want to delete this photo.
