Most powerlets that are in a pistol are changed by unscrewing the knob under the grip. Then removing the powerlet by taking off the left grip, roll the thumb wheel under the powerlet until it's loose and then pull it out. Put a new powerlet back in and roll the thumb wheel under the powerlet tight, then screw the large knob under the grip to finalize the install. Powerlets that are in a rifle are usually removed by unscrewing the chamber cap under the barrel and sliding it out. Slide a new one in and re-tighted the cap.
