I Recommend You Do NOT Even Think About Piercing This Your Self, This Piercing Especially Should Be Done By Professional ONLY. The Tongue Is A Very Important Muscle In Your Body, There Are 2 Main Vains Below Your Tongue, If Either Of These Are Hit This Will Cause You To Bleed Heavily And Possibly Become Paralised So Think Twice Before You Think Of Doing This.
Best not to mess with it your self, go see your piercer and for a small fee they can open the piercing using an insertion taper which will stretch the piercing without damaging it.
Honestly, it should not be necessary to numb the tongue at all to pierce it if you have it done by a licensed piercer. Depending on exactly what you're using to accomplish a temporary local anesthesia, it may complicate matters further. Imagine what sort of damage you'll do to yourself if you get a piece of metal put into your tongue without being able to feel it.
Using a piercing gun is a common method to pierce ears without a needle. The gun uses a spring-loaded mechanism to quickly and safely puncture the earlobe. Make sure the person performing the piercing is experienced and follows proper hygiene procedures.
The Needle. Using The Gun To Pierce Like For Example Your Cartilage In Your Ear, The Cartilage Might Shatter And Youll Feel Tiny Bumps Around Your New Piercing, Thatll Mean You Have Shattered Your Cartilage. So In My Opinion For Choosing What To Pierce With I Would Have To Say A Hollow Piercing Needle :)
The tongue piercing process is usually like this: * A clamp is put on the tongue to hold it in place for the actual piercing. This can feel uncomfortable, but it doesn't hurt. * A thin tube is placed on the point where the piercing should go. * The needle is put in this tube and then pierced through the tongue. * The piercing is then placed through the needle and closed up with the ball ends. If done by a professional, s/he will keep all utensils absolutely sanitized the entire time (including the tongue ring).
Firstly, the piercer would examine the mouth and mark two best spots (not too close to the parotid ducts) that will either highlight your dimple or create an illusion of having a dimple. After finalizing the location, he will rinse the area thoroughly and pierce typically with either a 14g or 16g needle. There are two ways to pierce the cheek using a threaded needle. 1. He will pierce your cheek inside-out and pull the piercing jewelry immediately behind the needle. 2. He will pierce from outside of the cheek in, where he will have to hold a piercing cork inside your mouth in order to prevent damage to your tongue or other parts of your mouth. He would then easily screw out the outer ball or other decorative threaded end.
If you are using the correct type of piercing equipment, you should not have to numb your tongue at all. Numbing the area before piercing could affect the healing process, and leave more opportunity to become infected. It is best to get a piercing done professionally, but if you are piercing at home, be sure to use the right sterile needles and tools. There should be little to no pain, making numbing unnecessary.
Well I for one wouldn't be using lemon on any oral piercing let alone a tongue piercing, acetic acid or citric acid will irritate the piercing if it's new. Think about reviewing your written aftercare instructions your professional body piercer provided for you.
Unless you use some type of numbing cream, youre gonna feel something. Honestly, for a standard lobe piercing, the healing is going to hurt more than the piercing. It isnt worth using the numbing cream because when you get it pierced, the cream can get pushed inside the piercing and can cause piercings. Its better to just tough it out :)
