Many people lick their lips because they are dry. If so, are you drinking enough water? That is a lot of the times your problem. "I am drinking enough water, what next?" you say. Well, some people say chap-stick helps. It helps sometimes, but a lot of the time they leave your lips dry. Some chap-sticks have chemicals that may hurts your lips. I recommend using Burt's Bees lip balm, some kind of oil (coconut oil is the best), Vaseline, or petroleum jelly. Before you shower or bathe put Burt's Bees lip balm, Vaseline, or petroleum jelly. The steam will get locked in the substance that you put on your lips, therefore softening your lips. Put on any of my lip recommendations before you go to bed. If you are just licking your lips out of pure habit put something gross tasting on your lips. Of course, do not put anything harmful or poisonous on your lips or else.... well, let's not get into the details. I hope that this helped. God bless.
