it doesn't hurt it hurts for a little while your getting it done like when the needle goes threw your lip but it only hurts for like half of a second the needle goes threw really fast and yeah so if you want to get yours pierced don't worry about it

No they don't numb the needle. It doesn't even hurt it just burns a bit. Remember no smoking or drinking till it heals.

It all depends on your pain tolerance. I don't think it hurt too bad because I pierced mine 4 times myself.

I have personally done this before, i got my right lip piercing re-pierced in the exact same spot and no it doesn't hurt, it feels the same as getting your first lip piercing.

Get a new ring, or if it's just that rings are uncomfortable for you, get a stud.

There is no piercing you will ever receive that will not hurt at least a little bit. That said, yes they do hurt and more so because they are on your upper lip. However, your desire for any piercing should override your fear of the pain.
