Yes, it will. In all modern shotgun shells, the pellets are encased in a plastic "wad" that keeps the shot in a tight group as they travel down the barrel. The pellets never actually touch the walls of the barrel so you don't have to worry about the steel shot causing excessive wear. Just be sure you're shooting the proper shells. If you try to fire 3" or Magnum shells in a gun chambered for 2 3/4", you're risking SERIOUS injury.
