If they do not know, but suspect, yes.
If they don't have a clue, then at the time of the lie, no.
However, liars have the bad habit of being found out or confessing eventually.
And of course the lie itself is false information and thus almost always harmful, possibly even deadly: "No, no cars from the right side."
Lying can still have negative consequences even if the person being lied to is not aware of it. It can damage trust and lead to misunderstandings in the relationship. Additionally, the person who is lying may experience guilt or remorse, which can affect their mental well-being.
Ignorance refers to a lack of knowledge, understanding, or awareness about something. It can lead to misunderstandings, misinformation, and biases. Overcoming ignorance requires seeking out information, being open-minded, and being willing to learn and grow.
To improve in constructive criticism, it's important to focus on specific behaviors or actions, provide examples to support your feedback, offer suggestions for improvement, and maintain a positive and respectful tone throughout. It's also beneficial to encourage open communication, actively listen to the other person's perspective, and be willing to receive feedback yourself to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
The other Cyclopes ask Polyphemus who has hurt him, and what his name is. They are concerned about what has happened to him and want to know the identity of the perpetrator.
If I woke up one day as a different person, I would take some time to understand my new identity and explore the reasons behind the transformation. I would seek to adapt to the new situation while still holding on to my values and beliefs. Additionally, I would embrace the opportunity to see the world from a different perspective and learn from the experience.

Example sentence - I would like to know how to detect when a person is lying.
You don't make anyone feel mad or any other way. We all choose how we feel. If the person is lying and you are sure they are, call them on it. It does no one any good to let it continue. If they want to get mad about being caught lying, that is their problem, not yours.
You shouldn't do that. It is unfair to that person because you are essentially lying to them. You wouldn't be happy with them either; pretending that you enjoy their kiss or pretending to like holding their hand. You would really hurt this person's feelings by doing this to them.
