First, all tattoos hurt :) The degree varies with where it's placed, and your body's sensitivity in that area. That said, the forearm and wrist are generally less painful areas than, say, the spine or ribcage.
It depends on your pain tolerance. Mine weren't too bad, but I know some people that fell asleep when theirs were done. Also, sometimes people have a higher pain tolerance on one side of their body than the other. The tattoo on my right arm hurt worse than the one on my left.
