There are various types of hernia, but one is the umbilical hernia, which occurs behind the belly button.
This one was from a colon surgery at the belly button. Can I wait for surgery, what is the dangers and how can I tell if its getting worse?
This isn't something you should self-diagnose or self-monitor. You need to see your doctor - preferably the Doctor Who referred you for, or performed, the initial surgery - for assessment; don't put this off, it will only play on your mind and worry you, when it might turn out to be no problem at all.
I had a piercing client come in with what she though was a piercing issue with her navel piercing, it was in fact a hernia and was unrelated to her piercing, but it actually saved her life. Had she not come in to see me she would have gone on her trip to Mexico and it would have ruptured during the plane flight. But she came in, I noticed the issue and sent her to her doctor who sent her directly to the hospital for emergency surgery. Professional body piercers are observant and smart. Oh yes she recovered nicely then went to Mexico to recover by the beach. Jzuk
I would say no. A hernia is inside your stomach and you have a lump around your belly button. So my guess would be if you have a hernia, you can't get your belly button pierced.
No. I've had my belly button pierced for eight years and never had a hernia. So I have a hard time believing that a belly button ring could cause a hernia. It can cause an infection but it can't cause a hernia.
Yes. There are different types of hernia. One can be next to your belly button. One can be around your belly button. I don't know about the other types.
Yes smh
A hernia
I don't know what you mean by "undo" your belly button but you can get what is called an "umbillical hernia" inside near your belly button.
Its known as a hernia...seek a doctors visit
No you cannot kill someone by poking them in the belly button, that is a myth. The only way that could happen is if they Had a Hernia in their belly button and you ruptured it. If you stabbed them or shot them in the belly button it could possibly kill them. However a simple poke or twirl in their belly button will not harm them. A hard poke would hurt, but it would not be fatal.
It is not recommended to intentionally turn your belly button inside out as it can cause injury or infection. If you have concerns about your belly button, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional.
It may be due to collection of fluid- seroma or pus if infected. It can also mean that the hernia has recurred again.
You can't "do" anything, this "knot" is part of the umbilical cord, which is attached to your belly button, it is perfectly normal and should be there, but, if this "knot" continues to cause pain you should seek medical attention as this could lead to a hernia, very common and easy to sort out Hope this helps:)
You could have the start of an umbilical hernia. I would see a doctor.
