Clear retainers do not hide lip piercing as well as I thought it would. I put one in , and you could still see the piercing. It was hard to speak because I kept focusing on swallowing it. Since I was at work I didnt have the ball on it. So there was nothing keeping it together from the front of my mouth. Then i tried putting the small ball on it, and putting make up on it.
It depends on what piercings youre trying to hide. You could try those clear flexible retainers.
The truth is nothing can really be hidden , unless your a master of " concealer" you cant really hide it but if you want to give it a go you can buy retainers alot of people dont suggest them but i put mine in the day after i got mine done..nothing happen or use concealer
well, i have one(a bio-flex one) and it works beautifully. you cans till see the piercing, but it looks like nothing more than a small pimple unless you are really close.
job, are competing in a sporting event or are visiting sensitive relatives. Metal is forbidden in some areas, e.g. for an MRI or X-ray. Simply removing the piercings will cause them to close. However, various options exist for these situations: 1. The most common piercing to hide is to the tongue. Clear acrylic tongue retainers are available in a variety of sizes. 2. The same can be done with lip piercings, but the retainers are shorter. 3. If you only need a short period of concealment, e.g. a job interview, you can take the ball off a labret stud. 4. Retainers can also be used with eyebrow piercings, but will be visible if the piercing is shallow or there is little hair. A barbell can be used with its balls removed, to keep the piercing from closing. 5. The retainers used to hide navel piercings are differently-shaped, like a golf tee with a curved stem. These will be more expensive because they aren't a mass-market product and not every company makes them. 6. After ears, nostril piercings are the next most inoffensive, but situations can still arise where they must be hidden. Employ a titanium or niobium nostril screw, colored to match the skin. Or there's the Microbezel nostril screw, weighing 20g with a 1mm jeweled top, which is hard to detect. Acrylic retainers are usually not thin enough and will remain visible. Piercing is a popular form of body modification. However, there will be times when you want to keep your job, play a sport, have a baby (female personnel only), get an X-ray or not give Grandma a heart attack, and that's when the above steps can help you tremendously.
Wear your hair long.
Septums are definitely the easiest because you can wear a horseshoe ring in it and just flip it up. Tongue is easy as well. Ear piercings can be hidden with clear glass jewelery but they are still visible. So if you cant have any for work or something go with a septum piercing.
For work or school, you could wear a clear, glass retainer. For parents, there really isn't a way to hide them unless your hair can cover your ears. They'll be kinda obvious
Your best bet is to go to the interview with retainers in your piercings. They'll still be noticeable but it shows that you're at least trying to hide your piercing. Most fastfood places don't allow facial piercings but some may. JUst ask around where you're interested to find out.
A clear piercing retainer
You can try, but they'll probably notice it. Even with a clear or flesh-toned end, it'd be pretty noticeable. A lot of retainers jus tmake it look like a pimple, but if it moves and the bar is exposed or something, it'll be obvious that it's a piercing. Sorry :/
You could use a band-aid to cover it, and say you got a scratch. Or, you could replace the current piercing with a clear piercing. Those are pretty hard to catch unless you're looking. I wouldn't suggest using coverup though, as that may cause an infection.
you culd always just eat an apple all the time but the way i hide mine from school and my parents is i get a clear stud n then i cover it in foundation n people think its a pimple it seriously works lolUpdated:I have snakebites. This means that I have two piercings on opposite ends of my lower lip.I went to a french catholic high school, and had to cover them up in order to not get suspended. I bought clear plastic barbells, and switched them before and after school. Works out very well. The only thing I would do, is wait until they're completely healed before changing any of the jewelry. Switching the jewelry too often when it is not 100% healed could create problems. You can pick up one at your local tattoo/body piercing shop or any shop that carries body jewelry. You can buy clear glass retainers but they won't be completely hidden. Those are usually good enough for work and school.
