Winchester was very accommodating to their customers, so it would be possible for a model 94 to come factory equipped with a peep sight. But it would have had to be special order, standard 94's came with open, buckhorn type sights.
Yes, Winchester offered the Model 1894 with peep sights, particularly in the later years of production. These peep sights were available as options primarily from the 1920s onward. Firearms with peep sights can be more desirable to collectors, potentially adding value, especially if they are in good condition and retain original features. However, the extent of the added value can vary based on factors such as rarity, overall condition, and collector demand.
I have an 1895 in 30-06 that has Redfield peep sights on it. The site is adjustable for range and windage. I know the sights were on it before 1960. I do not know if the came with the rifle because serial numbers indicate it was made in 1921 I have in my collection a reprinted catalog of Winchester repeating arms co.that was printed in June of 1896.This catalog shows no flip up sights offered from the factory at that time.(Rifle was new in 1895).My father in law has in his possession A Winchester model 1895 sporting rifle in 38-72Win caliber with a serial number that puts production in the year 1905.His rifle has a side mounted elevating peep sight that was added to the rifle in 1907.I do not believe that Winchester ever offered a flip up peep sight for this rifle.Redfield,Marbles and Lyman I believe were the 3 main suppliers of after market sights for the Model 1895 rifle.

The Stevens Model 66-B, a single-shot .22 caliber rifle, did not originally come with a peep sight. Instead, it typically featured standard open iron sights. However, many owners added aftermarket peep sights for improved accuracy and targeting. Always consult specific model documentation or collectors for detailed configurations.
Yes, I have one with the base and no peep. I am trying to find one everything I have found is that the original site was made by Lyman.
The Winchester Model 68 bolt action single shot .22 was made from 1934-46. It did not have a rear sight mounted on the barrel, but had a receiver mounted Winchester No. 96A peep sight (books at $20-40). As options, Winchester offered the Lyman No. 55W or 57ES Receiver Sights ($25-75). The hunt for old gunsights can pretty interesting. Lyman is still in business, and may be of some help. Good luck. By the way, the rifle (with sights) books from $275 at 100% to $50 at 60% condition.
Contact the maker for a set of instructions.
Someone at rimfireforum.com should be able to help you.
the peep sight ruined the value worth maybe a fraction of origonal
Most came with a tooth ramped iron sight. But there could be different styles depending on the age of your Winchester model 1894 rifle, such as a peep sight,a full buckhorn sight, etc.
I got one at a Canadian auction for about $80.00. It's in VG condition with open and peep sights included Hope this helps.
No. Iron sights or peep sights (aka aperature sights) are the only type allowed for the merit badge.
