Im not sure if your trying to restore your gun or use it. I talked to a guy at EllwoodEpps.com and he said they the model 64 only made the gun that accepts the plastic mag for two years and therefore the newer 64's will accept the mag you purchased at Gun Parts Corp. He said the plastic ones were crap. He did say that there is a conversion kit available which he has in stock for 35$ Canadian. This will allow you to use the Mag you purchased at Gun Parts Corp. Hope this helps... and I hope he has two in stock cus i need one too
