Whom do you think is going to stop you, the Phone Cops? Yes, you can unplug your home phone at night. If it's a cordless phone and you unplug the power, this will probably wear your battery out more quickly. However, unplugging the phone line itself is fine. Your phone won't ring and you won't be able to make outgoing calls, which could be a problem if you need to make an emergency call, but it's your decision. (Personally, I'd just shut off the ringer instead; same effect, but people can still leave you messages and you can make outgoing calls without messing around with the cord.)
