Yes- BUT- in an autoloader, they may not cycle the action. In a lever action, they may not feed properly (too short). In ANY rifle, be certain to clean the chamber well after shooting- you will get a buildup of carbon in front of the case mouth that can make chambering Magnums hard if you don't. Also, if you have a gas operated auto, like the Ruger, remember that Ruger recommends you NOT shoot unjacketed lead bullets (gas port fouling)
.44 Long? Check your cartridge again. As for your question, whatever you have, I'm almost 100% certain it won't be compatible with a .44 Magnum firearm. The only cartridge backwards compatible with the .44 Magnum is the .44 Special, and even that has limitations. .44 Special can be fired in a .44 Magnum revolver, but you need to check with the manufacturer before attempting this with a rifle, as the rifle will have a headspaced chamber.
44 magnum and 44 special.
Yes. The 44 magnum can fire 44 special ammo in the same way a .357 magnum can use .38 Special.
In a .44 Magnum revolver, yes. In a semi-automatic .44 Magnum (such as the Desert Eagle), no.
If the Anaconda is a .44 Magnum, yes, you can shoot .44 Special in it all day. Also .44 S&W American and .44 Russian if you are of a mind.
Yes, .44 Russian and .44 Special can be fired safely from a .44 Magnum revolver. They are the same diameter, shorter, with less power. Also darned hard to find and expensive.
NO
No, you cannot. The .38 Special can be fired out of .357 Magnum revolver (but not automatics or lever action rifles), however.
No. The 44 Magnum cartridge is too long to fit a .44 Special firearm- and it is loaded much hotter than the .44 Special- unsafe to attempt. .44 Special CAN be safely fired from a .44 Magnum firearm, but not vice versa.
yes.... with a 44 magnum
It can use either 44 magnum or 44 special
Yes. The 44 special is a bit shorter than the 44 magnum, so it will fit in the cylinder of the 44 mag. The reverse won't work, however. A 44 mag cannot be fired in a revolver chambered for the 44 special because the 44 mag is too long and won't fit in the cylinder of the 44 special.
