In most countries using a piercing gun for any piercing other than ear lobes is a violation of federal health regulations or guidelines. Even the piercing gun manufacturers warn and advise against using the piercing gun for any piercing other than ear lobes. Piercing guns and the studs used in them are not designed nor intended to be used in nostrils.

The tearing and damage done to the nostril can have life long effects, and the possible infection due to improper cleaning of the piercing can be serious. Professional body piercers have complained long and hard about piercing guns in general, due to the harsh manner in which they penetrate the tissue and cause problems during the healing process.

So after all this being said, there are individuals out there who could care less about you or your health, who would be more than willing to screw up your face by using a piercing gun to pierce your nose.
