yes , only if you use tampons. Some people say that you can because water stops it, but always wear a tampon just in case.

Yes, there's absolutely nothing you can't do during your period...however to swim during your period you would have to use internal sanitary products so the blood doesn't get in the pool. Menstrual blood isn't dirty and pools are cleaned so it's not a hygine problem, but no one wants to swim through your period and you don't want people to see it.

Use one of the following;

  • Tampons
  • Soft tampons
  • Sponges
  • Menstrual cups
  • Diaphragms
  • Softcups

Cups are best as they're safer than tampons, but also because nothing shows outside your body, they can be worn with light flow or before your period is due just to be safe, they don't increase cramps, and menstrual cups don't leak like other options.

Yes you can swim on your period, but you'd need to use one of the following:

  • Tampons
  • Soft tampons
  • Menstrual sponges
  • Menstrual cups
  • Diaphragms
  • Softcups

Menstrual cups are best as they are one of the safest options, unlike tampons they can be worn even with light flow and for up to 12 hours so a lot more convenient. Menstrual cups also don't absorb water, have anything showing outside, increase cramps, or leak like tampons.

The blood is not dissolved in chlorine. You need to use internal menstrual products to keep your blood out of the water as no one wants to swim through your blood and uterine tissue.

yes of course! I would recommed using a tampon to be extra careful though, but the blood just dissolves in the chlorine.
