Sunshine is the one thing tattoos dont agree with, cos the inks tend to fade with regular exposure. If you really want the color to last, protect your investment. Oh, ya, the short answer is YES, but take it easy!

I HIGHLY recommend you don't with a NEW tattoo.
I say wait until it's fully healed to do so. Even then, I prompt that you use a high SPF suncreen lotion to avoid fading.
I've been getting body art for over 20yrs and my 1st tatt is so faded from my lack of protection from the sun.
My newer tatts still look great because I make sure to cover them up or shield them from the sun.
TRUST ME it's worth it, so just adapt that type of routine for keeping your tattoo looking great.

you can but i wouldn't recommend it. a healing tattoo feels much like a sun burn so heat will not be pleasant.
The answer is YES, YES, YES!!!! But we should answer this question in two parts. 1. The brand new tattoo: The healing of a new tattoo is very dependent on keeping it out of direct sun light for at least three [3] weeks....Sun damage to a new tattoo will bleach out the color and make the tattoo take forever to heal.....The professional artist can usually tell when this has happened.... 2. The healed tattoo: The color of your bright and shiny new, but freshly healed tattoo will stay brighter and last longer depending on how much sun you get over the years...When you get enough ink on you to buy a good used car with what you have invested in it, you will probably start to believe that Ol. Mr. Sun isn't the good buddy you used to think he was....After several years of deep tanning the ultra violet rays of the sun will cause your color to break down and fade...So use common sense, use a real good spf tanning cream over your tattoo work...... And remember, tanning beds use ultra violet rays and they are not weakened by traveling hundreds of thousands of miles thru space....So don't think it will not harm your tattoos, new or old.....Hope this helps...
kid? how old are you? don't get a tattoo. It's permanent. If you do get a tattoo, get a Henna tattoo. They go away after a while
you skin will feel tender after getting a tattoo. it will feel like you have a sun burn more that anything its not painful but not pleasent.

You don't have to worry about ink going into your bloodstream if you got a deep scratch on your new tattoo. Hopefully the scratch will not scar or effect the look of the tattoo.
no because it can irrate the skin and plus it would hurt your sunburn it wouldn't heal properly Well, the sunburn has already irritated the skin but the peeling is what would hurt your new tattoo.....When a tattoo heals the top layer of skin comes off in a light scab...The DERMIS builds a new epidermis over the tattoo...If your sunburn peels before the dermis is ready it may lose much of it's ink, as well as taking a long time to heal...And, the pain factor would highly increase being tattooed over a sunburn..Hope this helps........B
