Drinking alcohol with metronidazole (24 hours before through 48 hours after the course of therapy) is strongly discouraged as it can cause severe nausea and stomach upset. Alcohol can also interfere with the metabolism of metronidazole.
I am not sure, but I would not recommend drinking alcohol while taking medicine, it will most likely distort what the medication will do and make you very sick since most medication goes into the blood stream, like alcohol does.

Non-alcoholic beer has MOST of the alcohol removed, but NOT ALL. There is still some alcohol left in it so, if you drink enough you can still get drunk.
