Pellets are actually a little larger. if it worked, would have no velocity.

BB's are .175 caliber, Pellets are ,177 Caliber. BB's are hard and do not deform where as Pellets are made of soft material. BB guns have a smooth bore barrel. It's just a tube. Pellet rifles use a rifled bore barrel. They have grooves in the barrel that the pellet catches as it travels down the barrel. This spinning makes the pellet spin as it leaves the muzzle and this spinning causes it to fly straighter than a round BB.
Forcing a BB to fire through a pellet rifled barrel damages the rifling as the hard BB travels down the barrel. Never use a BB in a pellet gun or rifle. Now there are rifles that are designed to shoot both BB's and pellets. These rifles have smooth bore barrels and are not as accurate as pellet rifles that have rifled barrels.
I only know if one pellet gun that is designed to shoot BB's in a rifled barrel, and that is a GAMO P-23. This pistol shoots both BB's and pellets BUT the BB's must be GAMO brand BB's designed for the P-23. These BB's are soft and conform to the rifling as they are shot. They do not damage the rifling.
yes if it fits but metal bbs cans destroy the rifle
It's designed as a pellet rifle. Forcing it to fire BBs will ruin the rifling in the barrel. Rendering it much less accurate, It's a good way to ruin a pellet rifle.
An AIRSOFT Rifle shoots plastic BBs. An Air rifleshoots steel BBs or lead pellets. Airsoft guns and rifles have an Orange or Red tip on the barrel. BB guns and pellet guns / rifles do not have a red or orange tip on the barrel.
This would be a BIG mistake if you used BB'S in the Phantom. The Phantom is a pellet rifle not a BB rifle. The barrel of the rifle is a "Rifled barrel" meaning it has grooves that make the pellet spin as it's fired out of the rifle. BB's are hard and will destroy the rifling in the barrel. Making it not as accurate. BB guns and BB rifles usually are smooth bore like a straw and BB's have not effect on the barrel. BB guns are a lot less accurate that Pellet guns. Pellets spin when shot, BB's tumble when fired, this is why they are less accurate.
The pumpmaster shoots both BBs and pellets. If the rifle is full of BBs then "NO" it only takes a moment to reload. If you are shooting pellets then each pellet must be reloaded by hand and that only takes a few seconds. You will spend more time pumping up the rifle than loading it.
This is a .177 pellet rifle.
The Chinese, along with other countries, have used pellet guns for training.
No recommended, Not designed for plastic BB's.
A pellet rifle has no firing pin. It also can not fire a bullet or gunpowder. It can not be made to do so either. The pellet has no charge (casing like a bullet) it just a pellet. However pellet rifles can be just as deadly as a real firearm. They use Air or C02 to project the pellet downrange. Some Pellet rifles are used for hunting, others for target practice. The Major difference between a firearm and an air rifle, is Gunpowder is use in Firearms and Air or C02 is used in Air rifles.
It's a Crosman 764sb air rifle.
pellet=no bb's= 6mm plastic not copper.
Not recommended unless the owner's manual says so.
