A pregnancy test can NOT be reused and it will not show a accurate answer.
Hello there. Yes you may very well be pregnant. A pregnancy test will only turn positive once HCG has been found in your urine. BUT there needs to be ENOUGH HCG in your urine to make a positive test result. Depending on the pregnancy test, they usually look for 5MIU - 50MIU. If you had 49MIU of HCG in your urine and did a test that looks for 50MIU it would be negative. The same thing applies to the Labatory urine pregnancy test. When they did the test you probably didn't have enough HCG in your urine to give you a positive. You need to have a blood test. Urine tests are NOT reliable and give negative results when women are indeed pregnant. See your doctor for a Quantitative Beta HCG pregnancy test. Good luck.
No, semen should not affect the result of a pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests detect the presence of the hCG hormone in urine, which is produced by the placenta in response to a fertilized egg implanting in the uterus. Semen does not interfere with this process.
There are a few factors that can result in a false positive. Most of the time though false positives are rare! I recently experienced this. I have 4 children and have never had a false positive! My test never showed up unless I was pregnant. I recently had 5 tests show a faint positive and went to the doctor for blood test which was negative. I was told that a cyst on your ovaries can sometimes make a test appear positive (false positive). Other factors include chemical pregnancy. This is one where everything develops as though you are pregnant, except for the baby. If you are on any medication that contains the pregnancy hormone (HCG), this also can make your test turn up positive. It is best to have a blood test done by the doctor to totally insure you are not pregnant.
Yes, home pregnancy tests can produce both false positives and false negatives. If a home pregnancy test is positive, you should see a gynecologist to have the pregnancy confirmed as soon as you can.
It may do and it may not do it depends how far into the pregnancy you are - I had an eptopic pregnancy earlier in the year - I took a test when my partner was away and it was positive he was returning in a few days so I waited coz I wanted him to see a positive test for himself - the second one I did was negative, so was the 3rd 4th and 5th I did so many as I knew for definite I was pregnant - after going to the doctors and getting a blood test and one the following day I was taken in for scans due to the hormone level dropping. The hormone level will rise with an eptopic pregnancy and then drop so dependant on when you do the test depends on whether it will turn out positive or not. Please go to the doctors and have a blood test and scans if you suspect you have an eptopic pregnancy. It is a horrible horrible thing to go through and the earlier you find out and get the proper care and support the easier it is to get through and start trying again! I hope this helps!
When testing silver nitrate, a whitish color will yield positive results. If the test is negative, the color will turn clear and it will remain transparent.
Usually 14 days post ovulation is a good time to test. Basically the day you expect to get your period is a good day. You will usually have enough hcg in your urine to turn the test positive.
It will turn into A negative number.
No, they cannot. The result of some operations on positive numbers can be negative.
When you have your period it is 99% that you are not pregnant. If you are pregnant there is HCG in your system therefore even with a light period you can take the test and it would come up positive despite the bleeding. Vaginal bleeding during pregnancy will not affect the outcome of a pregnancy test. A pregnancy test will only look for HCG in your urine & will only turn positive when HCG has been found in your urine. Vaginal bleeding will not affect the result at all hun. However you should not be experiencing vaginal bleeding during early pregnancy. Light bleeding is common during the implantation bleeding process but not every pregnant woman will experience this. Brown spotting can also occur during pregnancy. A pregnancy test will only be negative when you're not pregnant or when you performed the test too early. A pregnancy test can usually performed 2-3 weeks after intercourse & the result will be accurate. However it is advisable you see your Doctor for a pregnancy blood test or if you suspect you're miscarrying, go straight to A&E for a thorough examination.
