I had group b during my first pregnancy, but negative on my second and third. Weird huh?! It's not hereditary. It's something that comes and goes on it's own. Now it's something that they take care of and doesn't effect the baby.
Unless it's from a hereditary illness the baby can not get it.

There are no studies which show that premature labor is hereditary, but it is worth letting your obstetrician know if you have such a history. It is also worthwhile to be more vigilant about premature contractions during your pregnancy.
