They find it sexy and know that armpit hair is there for a reason. This hair traps the sweat from our armpits and holds it there. It is said to be more hygienic to shave this hair off because of body odour and that's why it is in our culture today to do it.

Every culture is different. French women are more natural and wholesome (generalizing here, I know.) Women in the US "grow armpit hair" too.. they just shave it off. Why? Social conditioning. Apparently deodorant has substances that lead to Breast cancer. So yeah, so much for "being better."
Personally, I shave/use deodorant. But I'm looking into more natural alternatives, somehow, for both. lol
