This can be beneficial for individuals who are sensitive to dust or for keeping writing surfaces cleaner.
Dustless chalk is made with a special coating that reduces the amount of dust produced when writing. This type of chalk is smoother and less prone to breaking, making it easier to write with and clean up. Living on chalk typically results in alkaline soils, which can limit the types of plants that can thrive there. Chalk is also more porous and well-draining, which can lead to faster water runoff. On the other hand, living on clay can result in compacted and waterlogged soil, which may require more effort to improve drainage and aeration for plants to grow successfully. Clay soil tends to be more fertile than chalk, but it can also be more challenging to work with due to its heavy and sticky nature.
