What are the age requirements to get your tubes tied?

Doctors won't do it unless you have all ready had 2-3 children and if you are too young they won't do it. I knew a gal who talked her doctor into in her 20's and was sorry she did when she was 30.

Doctors won't do it for younger women or if they haven't had children. I had a friend who got a doctor do it for her at 25 and then later she was sorry. This is why they won't do the procedure for younger women.

there really isn't an age requirement to get them tied. usually the doctor wont do it unless you have had a number of kids and you really can decide if you are done.

i don't know about Maryland but in Ohio you can get your tubes tied if you turn 23 or have three kids...i don't know if all states are the same or not

I think that depends on the state where you live and the hospital that you want it to be performed at.
