My alfa romeo radio says WAIT after i enter the code and doesnt move off this. What does this mean and how do i get off it?

Turn the ignition to MAR so the radio is on and then leave the key there for 2 - 3 hours without starting the car. it worked on my 147. you can get the code off the web for free from a couple o sites, just look for them. you'll need the serial number of the radio might be in the manual otherwise you need to pull it out of the console and get the s/n off the side. good luck.
