Yes. Being a Trumpet player, I have notice that by playing the trumpet, they have gotten a lot bigger. The vibrations used to play the trumpet tends to swollen the lips, so naturally, the lips get bigger and bigger. Not humongous big, but just a bit bigger.
It is possible to play a high G on the trumpet. You can play almost about any pitch on the trumpet if your lips are tight enough but they let air flow through.
When you play a trumpet, you buzz your lips. It creates a vibration that goes through the trumpet, and through the valves that you have pressed down (if you have pressed down any) and it comes out of the bell.
The reason a persons lips go numb when playing trumpet is usually because they pull back on the trumpet, stopping the blood circulation to the lips. If you find that this is the case, be conscious of this when you practice. You might find that initially your range is somewhat reduced but with regular practice, the muscles that make up your mouth will become stronger and you will be able to play higher than you could when you were pulling back on the trumpet.
first, make your lips like your about to say the letter "m". Place the mouthpiece in your Trumpet and on to the center of you mouth. If your to far off this could develop into a bad habit and make you sound worse. Then buzz with you lips like your imitating a fart or a bee into your mouthpiece. if any sort of sound comes out then there you go! that's how you play the trumpet. It is because in order to play a brass instrument you need to vibrate your lips in order to play notes.

The players lips vibrate, which creates the sound you hear. However, the sound vibrates, or resonates within the trumpet so it doesn't just sound like someone making farting noises with their trumpet.
IT will be harder because when you play trombone your lips arent as firm on the trumpet, and you need to tighten even more for a higher note than the trombone! So, harder.
They blow into the trumpet with there lips tight and with a lot of air.
